When it comes to left-handed WTA player,Patty Schnyder firstly emerges in my mind, and she is a pretty good player for me.Considering I know little about women's tennis before 2000,I think I must have missed some greater left-handed players,so,who is the best left-handed player do you think?

Yes,I must admit that I started a very stpid thread.:sad:I really don't know they are left-handed.I have never watched them playing. The reason that made me start to watch tennis is the Williams Sisters, about in 2002,before 2002,I even don't know there is a sport called tennis.Because,no famous chinese player,so basically no media attentions in China and no matches showed on TV.:sad:But the williams sisters were two very huge names to inspire many young people in China back then,I was one of these and then stated to follow tennis.:)

Seles doesn't count since she was double handed.

Double handers are neither left or right when it comes to a racquet imo.

Okey, before we getting a conclusion who is the best, one thing now is clear:it's definitely not Patty Schnyder.:)

Unless Seles had both hands on the racquet when she served, she counts as a left-hander.

 So they serve double handed too? They have to serve with one hand or the other, so it does count. :p

Sabine Appelmans maybe ? :):)
She's a natural right-hander, but played with her left hand, cause she wanted to be in the same group as her friend when she was a kid.

does seles really count as a lefty
I wouldn't really count her as a lefty.
If you have to wait until a player server to find out s/he is a lefty, s/he isn't one.

Navratilova by far, the best lefty.
I would even put Patty ahead of Seles.

I would love to see a video of someone serving with both hands.

LMAO! When I read the first post, I thought this was a JOKE, lol. The first person that came to mind was Martina, then Monica.

The best active left-handed player is Maria Sharapova, but she chose to play right hand.
