Hello I'm Dorien, 21 years old and from Belgium. I'm fan from Yanina since a very long time. I even don't remember since when  I saw her playing for the first time when she was number 400 or 500 in the world. It was in Torhout 2007 ($10.000-tournament). I don't how many times i have seen her playing since then. I just know it is a lot :p

There is one person who really makes the website. Technical things and things like that.
We are with 4 for writing the articles, biographie, results, tournamentinfo...

Does anybody know who the young guy in Yanina's players box is and do they have a photo? It might be her boyfriend if she has one?

Jan 16th, 2010, 05:43 PM

I think it's her sparring

Dorien.
Jan 16th, 2010, 07:16 PM
It isn't her boyfriend but indeed a sparringpartner :p

I don't have a photo as I seen them at the qualifying cheering for her and she was talking to them etc.. If it's her sparring partner do you know his name?

Hi there my name is Paddy, I am a new Yanina fan from New Zealand. I started supporting her at the ASB Classic this year in Auckland. I think she has shown major guts and determination to play the way she has with all the off court distractions and controversy. She showed against Justine she is a big match player, I think she could win a Grand Slam in the future. I predict Roland Garros :)

:wavey: I'm Katrin from Estonia.

I first noticed Yanina when she lost twice in a row to Kaia in the fall of 2008, and I guess I felt a little sorry for her:lol: Anyway I've been rooting for her ever since whenever I saw her pop up in the tournaments:)

Nina's currently languishing at the bottom of my faves list, but let's face it, Lena and Vee can't play forever so she'll be moving up.

I'll mostly follow her on GM for now, but I like her vinegar and her game. I'm sure we'll have much to celebrate in upcoming months as Wicki continues her rise.

Sorry I haven't stopped by before.

Max! Me thinks you and I are more alike than either of us knows.

I don't come around the forums too often, but I do follow the sport pretty closely. Wicky is probably my 2nd fave now (or first among mere mortals ;) ). Her history touched me and I think she's got a great future (and great legs!)

Let's hope for a return of the Flushing Meadows mojo!

Can't believe i never stopped by here  Yanina is one of my most favourite players
Anyway, i'm Elwin from The Netherlands.

I started following Yanina closely when she was ranked 300-400. The first match that i saw of her, was when she played Fed Cup against China. I think she played Yan. I was really impressed with her game.
