Maria-Elena CAMERIN (ITA)

In 2009, Italian Maria-Elena Camerin has lost 67% of her service games played on Qualifying & Main Draw matches at the WTA and Grand Slam levels.

Wow, losing 67% of the service games played  How on Earth can she win some matches sometimes ?!

I am looking at her results and the stats I have of her matches. And while she does get broken quite a bit I am quite confident that MEC is actually holding serve somewhere between 50 and 60 percent of the time. This 67% figure is clearly inaccurate or even quite possibly made up.

That number cannot be true but even if it is, all it would say is that Camerin is one of the top women who break serve the most often, too. ;)

It's very possible that, even though HER serve got broken 67% of the time - maybe she BREAKS others serve 90% of the time...Of course i'm exaggerating but it's possible she has a high break percentage. So it all evens out and allows her to become a "medium/low" quality WTA player.

I'm lucky enough to hold serve once in a match, so you go MEC. :yeah:
