Maryna Zanevska from Ukraine, 15 years old, and coached by the Justine Henin 6th sense academy has won her first ever ITF title (it was only the second event she played) defeating Katarzyna Piter 0-6 7-5 7-5

I saw her in qualies and she's really great.

And so great to see that Ju's academy's doing great :bounce::bounce:

Well done Maryna!

Quite impressive run from her. Congrats !!

If Piter hasn't yet confirmed her potential, she's a really good player and after losing 60 in first set, she managed to win the title in 3 tight sets :yeah:

However she's obvioulsly not the most talented player from 1993 after De Brito & Mladenovic.

Congratz for the young girl!

 I saw Zanevska at Wimbledon in her first round doubles match partnering Solovieva easily disposing of a British pair. Didn't realise she was at Justine's academy. There was her coach there but I assumed he was from Ukraine.

Congrats, Maryna! :)
Her and also Irina Khromacheva are really talented. Good to see students from Juju's academy doing well. :)

People are so harsh on young girls. :spit: Because this loss must mean Piter's career is over before it has even begun. :o

Well done to Zanevska. I wonder how much involvement Justine really has with her academy.

Justine said earlier there were a few youngsters from Eastern-Europe who are really talented, have that something extra/special. I wonder if she is one of them.

That's interesting to hear, but let's be clear: Justine is not giving away her time to these kids - this is a for-profit tennis academy, and the students are paying to attend. Correct me if I am wrong.

There is nothing wrong with that - everybody (almost) expects a profit for their efforts. I am just making it clear that this is not a charity endeavour in which she is volunteering her time and resources.
