I am going to Atlanta on Sunday for the 10k qualifyig with my brother (Kevin. on TF). Below is the link to the Entry list. I hope to go Saturday for the semis but I am going the following Sunday for the finals. I went last year and saw Amanda Fink win the event. It was a well run event but this year it has a new director but he seems like he knew what he was doing last year.

Any requests for players..I know its lame for a 10k but hey...its a pro event

For sure Lauren Davis and Kyle McPhillips! Lauren goes to Gilmour Academy which is literally like 20 minutes from where I live. She seems like a sweet girl who is very talented. Kyle lives about 10 minutes from my cousin. I'm pretty sure both of these girls hit with Serena and Venus a little bit before an exhibition they had in Cleveland back in like '06. If you get a chance to talk to them if you could ask what their plans are for the rest of the season and next year, like if they plan to enter some junior events or play more ITFs.
Jessica Kirkland. She entered a 10k event (her first in over a year) like a month ago, won a qualifying round and then withdrew from like the next three events.
Also Alison Riske. Maybe ask her if her recent success this year on the ITF tour has changed her plans for college. I believe she's going to Vanderbilt.

I did some officiating at a lot of Kaitlyn Christian's junior matches, so if you could get some of her that would be great. Would like to see how she looks now.

So Kirkland is at the table next to me. She is very sweet and looks healthy. Its her second tournament back from shoulder issues. I am gonna watch her match. Already saw Alexandra Mueller and I think I see AMY DILLINGHAM stretching big time lol

IM SO EXCITED

So Kirkland won 6-0,6-0 losing one point in each set. Really sad to watch

McPhillips is VERY crafy and her opponent is a little hefty but his HARD...its a good match

This tournament is really nice to follow. The qualifying is full of talented players.

Results (to last Q round) and Main Draw:

Lauren Davis has the most impressive scores. Junior Cercone is likely to pull through as well, but still some juicy matches left in QFR. Hope to hear some reports soon :)

SO I get there and I see Bunny and Missy, 2 fabulous USTA ladies and we hugged and chatted about how fast the year went by. Saw a lot of players including my friend Malika Rose who I spent the day with. Stephanie Hoffenpauir is a faboulous player who has a lot of athleticism and firepower. Her first match lasted 4 hours. NO LIE...Alexis King and I laughed about it. She is back full time and are waiting on Troy and other events...hoping to slide in to events...

Now to Amy..shes not that bad..just zero pace and just hopes to get everything...I think Malika was upset she lost a game when I explained it. I saw a lot of McPhillips' match and she is very crafty and can push well but take the ball early. Her parents were there and they just seem odd and nerdy. I saw parts of Cercone, Guarchi, Angelescu and a ton of americans. Brittany Wowchuk is a great player and played well. Im glad to see Kirkland back but in Hilton Head where she lost in her first comeback tournament, the shoulder was still bothersome.

It was just tons of tennis, blowouts and some. If you want any specifics please ask. The second round got cut short when lightning and a HUGE rainstorm came...probably one of the worst ive ever seen.

Well I saw some of Alexis King's match and her serve was BIG. and that lefty slice was there. Pluskota brought it back a notch with her lefty game. Alexis needs to work on her fitness. She gained 60 pounds in her pregnancy and its showin a little. One of the umpires said she still looked pregnant :o. I saw Jessica Kirklands first match. This girl she played was not even a 3.0 NTRP player. it was so pitiful to watch. Hoffupair's match went on FOREVER. Lindsay Nelson is very tall and skinny and has a nice tatoo on her wrist. Irina Falconi was there as well. Chrsity Striplin who played at GA Tech was crying after her opening round loss to Angelhescu. Any players and I will give you an opinion or if I saw them. Also, quite a few MD players there
