Translation :
Clearly the situation continues to harp on Jelena Dokic. Return to a high level after years away from competition, the Australian this time is forced to rest because of mononucleosis. Thrust the package at Roland Garros after a blocked back, beaten at Wimbledon when she was found giddy, the quarter-finalist of the Australian Open is not doing. Of exams taken immediately after Wimbledon tournament have revealed mononucleosis.

A period of two weeks of rest is announced and the player says that her determination is further enhanced by the twist of fate. Dokic hopes to be back at the tournaments to prepare for U.S. Open. Obviously all we can but we wish him not forget that a player like Mario Ancic fight for over two seasons to get rid of this virus, which also sealed a good part of the Last season Roger Federer. It would still be cruel return to the top of Jelena Dokic is ruined and she has already given a lot of shots out later ... - CB

A mystery aliment that has plagued Jelena Dokic since the end of the French Open has been diagnosed as mononucleosis.

The Australian had blood tests after her Wimbledon loss and the results came back earlier this week. Doctors have told her to do nothing but rest for at least a fortnight.

“I am disappointed to have to pull out of a couple of events but I am also relieved to finally know what was wrong,” Dokic said today.

“It has been so frustrating since the French. My natural work ethic is to get on court and train hard with intensity. I just haven’t been able to do that, and until now, I didn’t know why.

“This only makes me more determined to get everything right and work even harder as soon as I can get back on court, which will hopefully be in time for a good solid hard court lead up to the US Open,” she said.

The world number 76 is hopeful of a return to competition as soon as possible.

Srsly, this isn't even funny. :o She seriously has the worst luck ever, starts to play well again and about to get her first top 5 win in years and then injures her back. Goes into her favourite slam refreshed and playing well, and gets mono. WTF?

This is just bad timing and bad luck. This was the time of the year for Jelena to shoot up the ranking playing on the surface that she has had the most success on. I hope things start to turn her way soon and we see Jelena back where she belongs. :)
