Another epic fight from Gise saving 2 MPs. :armed: There was no call to the trainer before the final TB this time. :p Lovely drop shot at *2-3 in that TB and that FH return winner at 5-6* :worship: Didn't even celebrate the victory after 3hrs 19mins of play (just smiled) :)

Domi.

Btw take a rest Gisela because you've just been scheduled to play tomorrow at 10:00am  Love this organization

Cibulkova is just :o :o and she seems to have taken some weight on

She still took someone who could be considered one of the queens of small clay court tournis deep into a third set tiebreaker with that extra weight.
Her fitness obviously wasn't the issue in this match.
Dulko is finally playing like the veteran she is.

We're talking about a player who years ago had issues beating Navratilova on grass and then this year beats Sharapova on grass.

And Cibulkova has nothing to be embarassed about.
These tournis are made for upsets.
And usually the top two seeds don't even make it to the finals because of how tough they are compared to the deep in the clay season small tournis.

Patty Schynder had issues winning some of these tournis.
Noone remembers the years of Sopot and how usually the top seeds never even made the finals?

When was the last time prior to this tournament that Dulko won a match having saved match point?

Last year in October she beat Malek in Bratislava ($100,000 ITF) being down 3-6 3-5 (won 3-6 7-5 6-1) And the last time she saved match point and won in a WTA match was in Roland Garros last year: 1st Rnd. 6-4 4-6 4-5* against Errani (finally won 6-4 4-6 7-5) :)

The last time she saved match points was against Cirstea yesterday, she saved 4.

The question was 'When was the last time prior to this tournament that Dulko won a match having saved match point?' which means before this week, therefore her match against Cirstea doesn't count. :yeah:

Didn't see the 3rd set!
But oh mixed feelings about this one.
Wanted Domi to win, overall she seemed better player...but choked at 6-4 up in Tie-Break to lose next 4 pts and also the match & chance to be in top 10

Good luck Dulko, hope its a final v Flavia!!

I was at Bĺstad for this match.. what an epic. Great tennis from, both, they seemed uncapable of hitting unclean, non-hard, non-long shots. When they started mixing it up with slices and dropshots as well...well, it was a great match. I think Dulko will win the tournament now.

Don't think the extra weight has hurt her. At Roland Garros she was clearly the heaviest of her career, yet she made it to the semi finals and gave safina a run for her money.
