The pick three lottery numbers that played in New York last night was 9-1-1...How creepy. I would feel horrible making money like that...:eek:

Just saw that a bit ago. Pretty weird coincidence...can't imagine who would want anything to do with those numbers.

Like, when I was moving here last month, we were offered an available apartment in the complex numbered 911...I said "no way in hell" and the leasing agent said, "yeah, we keep hearing that."

Not surprisingly, I heard that the lottery people aren't "releasing" any info about how many (if any) winners there were on that drawing.

I don't know if only americans think the way you do..I understand it 'though.

But I wouldn't mind winning with 9-1-1 or having an appartment numbered 911..it's just a number..

It will never be "just a number" here.

Ironically, it's always had significance in US - even before the attacks last year. 911 is also the number we dial in emergencies, for police, ambulance, etc. Never a "lucky" number...that's for sure.
