Please. I don't want Lindsay to comeback at all. But she might have looked at the tour during her pregnancy and thought I could give it one more shot how hard could it be. But stanford is a bit too soon after Lauren's birth. The only way she might be in stanford is as a commentator. I want my last tennis playing memories of Lindsay to be good ones not of a player who hung on for too long and faded out.

RU kidding?

That would be wonderful. She had such a great comeback last time. But Stanford sounds unrealistic to me because its too soon after the birth of her daughter.

But she might play another year or two if she stayd injury free.

Players get older and older ... ;-)

It's interesting how you people come here and give us your opinion about her comeback instead of checking the website and seeing that there isn't any information like that.

I'm positive it's inaccurate.

It's pretty strange that many of these players are not even on the entry list... :p I udnerstand Davenport would be getting a WC, but Amanmuradova? Dulko?

Only took her 6 weeks last time, same again please! Stanford was one of her fave tourneys that she didn't get to play last year so it could just be a one-off. Or they might not have updated their website yet. :sobbing:

I would be extremely surpised if she played in Stanford this year. If she were to comeback ( doubt it though ) i would guess sometime during the fall indoor season ;).

ITs not true, and even if it were...

As much as I love Linds, she should at least wait until next year and maybe give it one last good try. Maybe play 2 more years, then call it a day and focus on her kids and commenting. But Stanford would be too soon I think.

Can we say Lindsay Davenport is still an active WTA player?
BTW, has Jennifer Capriati/Anastasia Myskina ever officially retired?

I consider them both to be active, neither has announced retirement yet and both say they haven't ruled out comebacks. Many people judge them as retired though.

Yeah until I hear an official announcement from the player, I consider them active.

I'd say Pierce is in that category too!

Who the hell jumped out like that. Maybe she will in about 6 month's time...but HELL. Lindsay needs to get her child on the right foot. If she wants to take two infants around the world, more power to her. But, after the second child...I don't see her coming back until she can get one of them old enough to be able to handle a nanny.

I couldn't believe when I saw the thread title, but it's obvious she isn't coming back. :( Although she could easily make the top 20 (even top 15) playing 10% of her game. :smash:

I didn't get the question, but if you meant to ask if Dulko's going to play in Stanford, she isn't. She's gonna play in Bad Gastein (Austria) on clay the previous week so it'd be quite difficult to make it. :)

I am not asking. I am questioning the website with players pictures on it ;)

Nah focus on her kids and commentating now. Lindsay is an excellent commentator why bother playing again as we all know how it will end up. Injured. I think Lindsay also has a dodgy right knee that says her body has had enough, :)

Please don't come back Lindsay. :( It wouldn't do any good. She wouldn't have any great results with her knee. She is to great a player to come back as a lesser version of her former self.
