The best ranked players that have won an International series tournament and not playing the YEC plus some wild cards.

I don't think we'll know for definite until November.

Its those who don't qualify for the main YEC. Wozniacki, Zvonareva, Jankovic could be here if they don't end up at the main YEC.

Bartoli is probably certain to be in Bali, as is Medina Garrigues.

Bali is not mandatory for Doha alternates and players playing Fed Cup final. So, it is not ver likely that any of Italians would play Bali.

arent there wildcards as well?

Yes, there is 2 wild-cards.

So someone like Ana, who is a high profile player but may not have qualified for YEC, could be given a WC? :awww:

The 10 highest-ranked players who have captured at least one International tournament during the year and who are not participating in singles at the year-end Sony Ericsson Championships - Doha 2009 (http://www.sonyericssonwtatour.com/page/Tournaments/Info/0,,12781%7E742,00.html) will qualify for the event, along with two wildcards. A player who wins three International tournaments and the season-ending Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions (http://www.sonyericssonwtatour.com/page/Tournaments/Info/0,,12781%7E863,00.html) will take home the additional $1-million bonus on top of her regular prize money.

Vinci maybe will not play, because in the week of Bali there is the Fed Cup final :)
