Why they put Girls final to playing in same time with Williams sisters showdown final? So disrespectful to girls tennis, and to two 60M+ big countries which girls is involved (France and Thailand) Also why they insist that womens doubles finals must to play today if both finalists from singles are involved

Program on Court 1 should start 2 hours before CC, or if they insist on same time start some of 2nd Round "Gentlemen's Invitation Doubles" matches should be played in all-Williams finals term... not girls final for sure. Brit's knows about last season spectacular UK TV-Rating which make Girls final (when Laura Robson is involved)... so why they do this to France and Thailand (and I'm sure many courrious people which love tennis from rest of world will like to watch girls finals also)? And for God sake why they put "tradition" factor even when it was brainless  Instead to put from tomorrow schedule mix-Doubles final (L.Paes/C.Black vs. M.Knowles/A.L.Groenefeld) to play today, and from Saturday schedule Womens Doubles final where Williams-Team is involved to play tomorrow - they create this terrible schedule :tape: On other hand I don't remember when last time it's happen that at some Grand Slam event (including Wimbledon) Girls (juniors) Singles final is played in same time with some "big" (seniors) Final in singles. But that is "Good Tradition"... why follow that

Saturday always has the Mens and Womens doubles
Sunday always has the mixed finals (cos most of time it involves MM players)

Juniors final never started in same time with seniors... but they change THAT "tradition"

Or What about some other "tradition" which they change when finally use their brain:
Wimbledon Never use Hawk Eye
Centre Court never have Roof
...etc...

I don't say Womens doubles final should play in Sunday from now to forever... but in 2009 case (because both singles finalists are involved in doubles final) if organizers just little use their brains - they will switch 2009 terms of Womens-Doubles and Mix-Doubles finals.

Today's schedule is without respect at least to girls (juniors) tennis, to 5 time Wimbledon Champion Venus Williams, to 10 time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams and to TV-audience of countries (both 60M+) of France and Thailand :(.

It's pretty ridiculous. It's obvious that the Wimbledon establishment has something against the sisters.

I'll be watching Kiki on TV ;)

Obviously. Your girls only dominate the junior and challenger realms. :tape:

It's because of Robson last year, they put her on court 1 and it went down a storm (although they didn't put her on first). That said though why they're putting it against the womens final I have no idea, if they're going to put the girls on court 1 (and I don't think given their nationalities there's going to be enough interest *here* to merit it) then they should do what they did last year and put the invitational doubles up first. Personally I think court 2 would have been *perfect* and they could have had it at 12 so people could watch both.

Probably watch the first set of the girls, flick over and see if the womens final is interesting and then make a decision.

Womens Doubles Final was at least sometimes on after the Mens Singles Final,

I think if 2 players are playing the singles final, they should move their doubles final to the next day.

added some more - they shouldn't force people to play 2 slam finals on the same day if they don't need to.

Venus & Serena are professional tennis players; I think they can handle playing a doubles and a singles match in one day.
