Rennae's first GS final in 5 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

As much as I would have loved to see Vivi go for the career slam, I'm so happy for Rennae. Vivi still has a chance in the mixed to win a title at all 4 slams. :yeah:

So 3/4 last year's finalists return this year, poor Lisa didn't get a chance

Vivibel :sobbing:

Really harsh call from Welch in the third set and it went downhill from there.

Medina played a blinder, particularly in the first set to save three set-points.

Well I prefer a Silver Medal than losing to Williams Sisters in the final

Yes she made them but not in Set points

I think that for Virginia is better losing in the semis, I dont wanna see her losing another Wimbledon final, and seriously, they would have not have any chance

This isn't related to the match, but was Medina the player that hurt her ankle against Seles at the Australian Open way back when? I remember watching that match, I know the player was Spanish - but I never worked out who it was.....

They got their silver medal after losing to the sisters.

err, obviously losing in the final is much better than losing in the semis. A legend like Virginia would always prefer to be in the final.

Vivi:sad:

She still has a chance to get the unofficial career grand slam, already a break up!

Although I don't know who to root for in this match, both Vivi and Cara already lost today and I'd love both of them to get a win

Sammy/Stubby :worship:. It would be so cool if Stubby could get her 60th title tomorow at age 38 :worship:. But we all know the Williams Sisters are tough as nails and will be very hard to beat... GOOD LUCK!

Vivi/Medina

That would be amazing! Can't help but admire Rennae, 38 years of age and still making Wimbledon finals, just incredible :worship:

ALG/Knowles for the win:rocker2:

So if she goes ahead with her retirement plans, Virginia will have never claimed a Wimbledon title  Would have been nice to get one, but she still had a fantastic record at Wimbledon and even this year made 2 Semi-Finals :yeah:

Oh well, she's still had a legendary career and will be going for US Open number 4 very soon :bounce:

and no, Cara/Leander for the win!
