Shouldn't there a be a HUGE sigh of relief thread? (Edit: or maybe not? Color me sad)

Okay, I'll be the first to admit it. When I saw the message that our site was down (for who knew how long) my palms got sweaty, my heart sped up, and I even posted @ atpworld in order to maintain my sanity. :o It was hell!!!

Anyone else?

EDIT! Unfortunately, I had not read Poe's thread in the "announcements" http://www.wtaworld.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=879026#post879026 before I posted this. Now, it seems, the news is rather bleak. I suggest everyone start exchanging e-mail addys and networking about where to meet should this wonderful site suddenly vanish!

I was joking about atpworld above, but it does have a WTA section. (At least we could communicate there). FYI, use the 'forum jump' feature, as clicking on "WTA" sends you here. I hope we get to hang on for awhile yet, but just in case...

Well, I guess that's it, except to say, THANKS to Poe and the rest...it's been great.

Yea, I had my moments too, I just thank God that it didn't go down during the US Open.

My guess is atpworld is managed by the starz network, also. It might go away too.

honestly, lets figure this out. how will I know ANYTHING about women's tennis if I have to rely on the newspapers or general sports coverage!!!

I realised how much Id miss this place when I saw the message...for all the problems/arguements sometimes this board like the Sanex board before it has always been an oasis of reason compared to most of the internet.

The non-tennis section in particular is what I'll miss, the chance to talk about nothing very much in particular has its charms. :)

Hope the problems can be resolved or at worst that we all find another shore to wash up on...

I had suspicions that all was not well, but I was still sad to read these announcements. This board has been a roller coaster ride for me, from highs to lows, but it has been an adventure. And while I have the chance, thanks to all those who ran this site. And to the posters: it was nice getting to "know"some of you.
