So true but I look at death as a release from the physical world not for eternity. I dont think death is taken as seriously on the other side as it is on earth.

But, at least it wasnt Betty White. <3

 Yasmine, our gay icon and one of the most famous people on flemish TV committed suicide yesterday. We saw her on TV almost every day... We'll miss her so much  So we had 3 huge losses on one day. I can't believe this happened..

Well, Sky Saxon died yesterday too, so there's the trifecta.

Its not just celebrities, death tends to come in threes. I know it does for my family.

:worship: Just how I think about it. No death, not to consciousness at least, just blissful transition.

As for the OP - do they really?

Elske's post makes 4 though

I was going to say the same.

Bad things come in threes. That's what my mom says. I've noticed that it's true. A few celebrities died on June 25th, plane crashes generally happen in groups and all sorts of other things. It's like a law or something.

The superstition precedes the facts. Folks looking for 3 torture reality until their superstitions are satisfied.

No time frame to this nonsense, you just keep looking until a convenient 3rd shows up and begin your count anew.

I don't buy this. The world is made up of billions of people so there are people dying all the time and there are bound to be coincidences.

Why did Yasmine commit suicide? Poor woman.

Why did Yasmine commit suicide? Poor woman.

Probably a combination of things: the love of her life left her so there was that divorce to deal with (it was the first celeb gay wedding here), she was probably overworked, stressed, depressed. It's quite sad.

The only law evident here is the law of superstitious nonsense.

Maybe it's just that you're more aware of it if it's already happened to someone recently.

Well considering Billy Mays and Gale Storm passed over the weekend too, you are totally right......

Merely confirmation bias.

You forget the cases where celebrities don't pass in 3s. Or... if they pass in more than 3s, you discount the more minor celebs. If they pass in less than 3s, you elevate a small name to a celeb for the explicit purpose of getting the death count up to 3.
