I'll be surprised if Serena plays this tournament.

Venus was on commitment lists for Brasil and Zurich, but she's pulled out of both. But, I guess at one time someone might have thought that Venus was playing a lot this autumn too.

Right now Serena is signed up for what? Four tournaments? One in Japan and three in Europe? I think she will play Filderstadt and Zurich, but drop Leipzig.

But, I've been wrong before.

Serena's early fall schedule is very different from Venus' past schedules. I am pleasantly surprised to see Serena follow up her US Open triumph a week later with a tournament in Japan. She is really putting herself in the position to remain the #1 ranked player through Wimbledon. Why? She only played the end-championship last year and did not play the AO. I don't think anyone will catch her until next June. She'll end the year well over 6000+ points.

I hope she plays what she has scheduled and stays health. The S-train is rumbling down those tracks. It appears she's turning out to be a great #1 player who has an open, vibrant, poised personality and a desire to be the best . YES

Yeah, Serena is very commited now! :) Serena has played in Japan before so I don't think it's a surprise.
