So I got an email 2 days ago from the Nigerian prince who said that the nigerian government was prosecuting him and trying to steal his $250 million fortune. He cannot use his money in Nigeria so he asked me to send $20,000 to his bank account to help him escape the country and transfer his money to an offshore account. In return he is gonna give me $25 million! I just finished sending him $20,000. I'm going to be rich biatches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bounce::banana:  :drive:

It's happened to me before.. but it's likely that he/she posted a similar thread.

 No!

The board has been having issues when people post very closely together in a short time period. It bumps the more recent posts above the older ones. This is why the OP will not be the lead post.

Next time, string it out a bit and go for the full $250 million.

After all, what price can a man put on his freedom ?

Make sure you will also get back your $20K, otherwise you will only net 24,800.

And can I borrow a million? I really need it.

Well, I received this on June..

Hello,

My name is Oliver Wambo from Zimbabwe , I am the only son of my father Mr. Clifford Wambo, and it was unfortunate that my father was killed during the recent political crises in my country between the ruling party and the opposition party. It has been a terrible time for me since after the death of my father but I thank God for giving me this opportunity to come in contact with you, please do not be offended by my mail since we have not met nor seen each other before, it was out bitternes and sorrow that i cried to almighty God and he listened and answered my prayers.

I come to you because I dont have any body else to help me, as at the moment I am in Abidjan the capital city of ivory coast, I left my country during the war time, that is the reason even till now I am still staying in a refugee camp here.

During the crises, my late father told me that some top people which the president and his loyalist believed are backing the opposition are been targeted by the forces of the ruling party and he told me in confidence about a big amount of money that he deposited in a bank abroad for future purposes and he ordered me to flee from Zimbabwe to a nearby country where my life will be safe, two days after I have left my country I had a news that my dad has been killed together with my mother by the military loyal to President Mugabe.

Today I have become an orphan and one who has no one to help him, it is for this reason that I have come to you for help, the amount in total is 9.5 million euros deposited in a bank, and I am willing to link you up with the bank so that you can talk with them and get every info that you may need for your self, I am committed in making this transfer successful because all my hope and future depend on this 9.5 million euros.

I will appreciate your response to this mail if only you are interested to help me secure the money into your bank account and as well invest it for me, If you are interested to help like I have explained to you above, please reply with your direct telephone number your profession and your residence address.

Thanks and God bless you for your kind understanding to this mail.

Sincerely,
Oliver.

I know only Cara Black from Zimbabwe :o

So anyway, I sent the money then I found out he was lying!!!!!!!!!11111!!!!!!!!

He wasn't a Nigerian prince afterall! He was actually from Malawi!!! :fiery:

So once he gave me my £2 Million I broke contact and never spoke to him again :o

I was also contacted about 7 years ago!!!

What made me amaze was that the prince had so much trust in Argentinian Banking System ... and that he wanted to spend his money here... in the ass of the world :tape:

Perhaps His Majesty though I am living in US

One of my favorites was when the US hosted the World Cup in '94 and this was an actual paper scam... anyway, Nigeria was scheduled to play in Dallas, and the mayor of some Dallas suburb warned people that Nigerians were ALL scam artists and to be on the lookout for "people speaking Nigerian."

Hmmm. I wonder how you say "Lena's bangs" in Nigerian?:p

wow I didn't know this scam was world wide

a woman here in one of our afternoon radio programmes called in and said she was contacted via phone ( ) and told that she had won the competition for which the prize was a trip of a cruise to the Cayman Islands....she said she didn't remember entering any competitions but figured that one of her family members had done it but put her name on the form....so she went on giving the people her personal info until they asked for her account # and pin...and their excuse was that she had also won some prize money and they needed to deposit it directly into her account, and they also needed to book a hotel for her so they needed all that info...sadly, she fell for it :rolls:

Actually Max, the official language of Nigeria is English. There is not one 'Nigerian' language, but several different languages and dialects depending on the region of Nigeria you happen to be in.

I know. I was merely reemphasizing the rubishness of the mayor of the Dallas suburb. And trying to work a reference about Lena's bangs into my post.

It's not as easy as it looks you know. ;)
