Vera will probably come out and finish the job with the rest but if it had continued Stoop probably wouldve gone on to win. Vera doesnt look great after her long lay off.

Vera will probably win but looked very insecure with her movement.

Stoop played fantastically well though

First time I'd seen Stoop, I think. Quite favourably impressed. The suspension favours Zvonareva, I reckon.

I think Vera will come out tomorrow and finish Georgie off unless her ankle isn't good enough.

Georgie was playing fantastic tennis.

Hopefully Vera will win..

I was there at the match and I feel sorry for Vera. She lost her focus for short duration and ended up losing the set. At 5-4, it was really dark and Vera started packing her things without consulting the umpire. But when umpire asked her to continue, she looked unhappy and I knew then that she would lose the set and exactly it happened. On top of all that, crowd were really behind Georgie cheering for all(incl. Vera's errors) and Vera looked uncomfortable the whole match.

Vera should NOT be at Wimbledon, she is no where near fit she was almost limping and could hardly move (falling over didn't help either). Seriosly, it was like pre transformation Vera out there - she was crying, talking to herself, cursing etc...

I know her coach is really nice but I have a feeling he is almost making her play. SHe was really not happy with him and kept asking him 'Why am I here?' really angrily, then she left court without him at the end.

 Vera. I felt like such a coward not cheering for her. But I was sitting right in the middle of the british player's camp! :o

(btw, Georgie played completely off her head, but I don't like her she kept swearing when the umpire couldn't here and laughing about it. Was really off putting for me)

where were you cos i thought i was next to her camp, shouting next point georgie!! ha but no i agree Vera really didnt want to be there at all, i dont know whether she felt she shouldnt be having a close match with such a low ranked player or because of her inability to move as well as before the ankle injury or whether it was both of these aspects.

Im dissapointed to here about Georgie swearing, however I did like her postive body-language on court. She was always smiling, which was nice to see ;)

For the 1st few games I was with on the 3rd row back on the behind Georgie when she sat down at change overs (with the crazy service line judge that kept lying back into the audience)

Thans I moved and sat next to Laura and her massive, blonde friend (she is a player but I can't remember her name :sobbing:)

I might have seen you know I think of it. Grey jumper?

Stoop is probably playing Zvonareba at the most opportune time. Zvonareva looks like she's moving at only 60% maximum.

Stoop( what a odd name:lol: )has a pretty raw and at times potent forehand, but her backhand really lacks any means of attack. Her junky defence mechanism isn't particulary stellar either.

Still, all to play for i guess tomorrow.

Vera should retire from this match. It is obvious that she will not go far in this tournament. It makes no sense to play here.

It will annoy me if Vera wins this match then gives a W/O in the next round, if she does win i hope she keeps playing.

Otherwise i want Georgie to get the 100 points, plus i think she can take Johansson out next round.

Stoop is very lucky that she's playing a Vera who's injured.

I hope Vera can win it.

Vera will take the set 6-1 or 6-2, and then retire from her secong round match, lose 62 63 or withdraw completely.
