Screamers and pushers unite!

Every woman who's ever given birth (except scientologists) know that screaming and pushing go hand in hand.

LOL

“She is a very good player and Portugal must be proud of her. There are many girls on the tour who grunt loud that it almost sounds like they are screaming, but I think people shouldn’t be too worried about this or let it bother them. Especially the players and opponents, they should just be focused on what they are doing”.

she said something different in her interview for Polish Eurosport (from Eastbourne)

Q: Your friend Agnieszka Radwańska complains about tennis players who grunt loudly during the match. This includes Maria Sharapova and specially Michelle de Brito who is an absolute leader of this 'ranking'. What is your opinion about it?
- It depends who I play with. But I agree with Agnieszka, you shouldn't scream like that. You disturb other peson's game this way - not helping yourself. It would be great if there were some rules about it.

Q: Nick Bollettieri says those grunts are natural...
- It can't be natural if those players don't grunt during training. And when they're playing the match you can hear them on the other side of the court. If you can stay silent during your training you can do it during the match. I played de Brito twice. It troubled me a little, but for sure it was worse for the spectators. When I play I focus on the ball not on the opponent. But some of those screams are just way too much.

Thats an classical human reaction. In the ES interview the question is leading her torwards an certain answer by including the phrase "Your friend Agnieszka Radwańska...". If she doesnt have a strong opinion on the subject beforhand its only natural too phrase an answer that confirms with her friends opinion (even though she might be indifferent or leaning in another direction on the subject). Psych 101 hrhr.

Fakeniacki trying to please everybody :o

Better than certain other players who just seem intent on reinforcing negative stereotypes of their own gender by making bitchy comments or stating that the bitchiness on the WTA is good :o

Much ado about nothing, she's basically saying that the screaming is too much especially for spectators but it doesn't bother her and that people should focus on their own game.

Non-issue:shrug:
