I'm actually quite upset at this loss. She had an excellent draw and this was a great opportunity to go far in a slam for once.
I hope Yanina learns a valuable lesson here and plays less before a GS. I suppose she didn't think she'd get that far in those tournaments.

Vesnina came into this tournament almost top 20 in 2009 points.
With her draw Elena might be in the YEC race in 2 weeks

Yanina

I picked her in a tennis dream team and she's got me 2 points.

allthough vesnina played well, this is a shameful defeat for such a good grass player. She had less than 30% winning percentage on her second serve. That is lack of power or exhaustion.

Probably you have to say one more million times she shouldn't play that many tourneys? We know, we see now.:o

That's a disappointing loss. Not only the loss but especially the score

But as long as she learns from this, it's not a problem.

Yanina has a hamstring injury and was crying at the end.

Nina, don't play any further in a small tournament with a slight injury next time, hopefully you will realise soon you just landed in the next phase of your career! Focus on the bigger tourns.

Now, take a rest for two free weeks (just like I predicted ;))!

Me neither. Rosmalen is cursing players :fiery: .
Funny, both losing in first round is exactly what I imagined to happen

kst kst gross language. I would report you but I am not even allowed :lol:

cant help it either that Belgian people are pissed. Wickmayers planning was crap, anybody could see that.
There is a good reason why Eastbourne and Rosmalen attract so few top players (that perform!)

But playing Estoril, St-Gaudens, Strassbourg, Roland Garros, Nottingham, Birmingham, Rosmalen and Wimbledon in a row just beats all !!

one of her thighs was taped and vesnina was just constant really, yanina seemed flat.

I don't have a problem with what you say. Only when you said she lacked talent and she was playing as many (small) tournaments as possible so that she can win matches. That was rude. What most people don't like is the fact you can't help criticizing her for everything she does. Find someone else to bully or just get a life because very few people actually care.
