A shame it had to end by way of retirement but Azarenka's game looks pretty solid on grass and her serve seems more of a weapon too. I was surprised how comfortable she looked for her first match on the surface this season. Keep it up Vika!

Vika was playing very well and Severine was not playing terribly so a 6-2 is good for her first grass match.

Didn't look too serious to me. Not saying it's not, just saying it's not as bad as some have and will make it out to be.

Azarenka, well she looked awesome, such clean striking of the ball. And she looked stunning.

Bremond actually had just 4 unforced errors in the first set. Azarenka was simply stunningly effective, a clean game, some inventiveness. Perhaps I'll make some money on this tournament after all.

well played first set for Vika. So solid. Only 2 UEs in total, 14 winners, won 12 of 12 on her first serve.

Too bad the match had to end in retirement. I hate injuries.

yeah Masha did that twice too and I thought she was dead both times :sad: stupid grass.

Sev always plays very cleanly on grass so great for Vika to go up 62 against her but I can't believe she's injured again!! :sad: maybe the time off will be good for her head too.
