Mauresmo, Venus, Serena retired. Recurring shoulder problems have rendered Sharpie a pernnial semi-finalist. Dangerous to anyone, but a couple year past her last slam. (Probably her 5th or 6th.)

Who's winning Wimbledon?

Go back four or five years, and we had a pretty good idea whod be winning Wimbledon for the next few years. Go back nine or ten years, and we had a pretty good idea whod be winning Wimbledon for the next few years.

What we have now, as far as I can see, is a couple VERY established veterans, Sharapova's shoulder, and a whole lotta maybe. Venus Williams seems as likely to win 2014 Wimbledon as anyone else on the tour. Except of course that's ridiculous.
