Who has won the most titles before the age of 20(means 19 years old xx months and below :p)?
Anyone has the stats for it?
Preferably a list with 2 titles and above and also the level/tier of the tournaments they won.;) List of the players they defeated en route to the title would be an icing of the cake.

I think in 2004, Kim Clijsters became the 20th girl to win her 20th title before her 21st birthday.

What is even more impressive is that Seles won 8 GS titles before 20. Well, before the stabbing.

And that Hingis won her last just at 18!

37 for Steffi Graf.

I think prolly the all-time best is Maureen Connolly who won 9 majors before turning 20. :worship:

So who's won the most titles before turning 19?

Strange I thought it was Wozniacki.

exactly :p to beat this records at the present players would have to win almost all the tournaments they are allowed to play till they are 18 :p

Seles was knifed 8 months and 3 majors before she turned 20.
She might have won 10 majors as a teen

And almost certainly more than the 37 titles won by Graf as a teen.

Graf had also been on tour since 13 gaining experience. Monica was more efficient in her pre-20 success. Monica

Austin 30 titles including 2 slams

That is irrelevant. You can win tier IV, tier 3, tier 2 or tier 1, it's all combined. But Seles winning 8 slams aged 19 is one of the most incredible record in tennis history.

What's "irrelevant"? :weirdo:
To answer the question the original poster asked?

How is it irrelevant, really? No one said its the most important thread ever...but its interesting, and can reveal a lot about young players then/current era. How is it irrelevant...?

Steffi though won 70 more titles after turning 20 whereas Seles only won 21 more titles..I the stabbing took Seles away for 2 1/2 years but Steffi missed several Slams and months out because of her knee surgery and recovery

Wow those stats are amazing! :worship:
It's so disappointing that Hingis didn't achieve more in her career. I mean, she had a great career, but she achieved almost all of it at a young age. 31/43 titles, 5/5 slams(singles), 10/11 slams(doubles) before the age of 20.

Sure, all these great champions who won 30+ titles in their teens must have built up their numbers on tier V's. :weirdo:

I can see how an analysis of tiers might be interesting when comparing the track records, but winning that much before the age of 20 is astonishing.

Can someone also add in the doubles record too... that'd be interesting to look into.
