I think this will be a lot harder for Jelena than expected...

It could be tough if Jelena makes it tough by making errors, otherwise, you'd expect a former semifinalist and birmingham champ to have little trouble against Malek

Jelena in 2 if she has fully recovered from injury
never doubt it!

This will probably be the hardest match for Jelena. Should she win this, she's bound for a great run on Wimbledon this year.

Malek is playing quite neatly and had little trouble qualifying. Dokic has to play to her potential.

malek in 2, don't think jelena is fully recovered, plus she didn't play on match on grass for quite some time

this is mission 'challenging-Venus' for Jelly, SF at least. It burns inside of her, this loss at RG against Elena b/c of this damn injury...

if jelena's back injury is part of history, she is going trough to R2 easily...

The fact that Dokic is coming into this match without any grasscourt preparation following an injury and also the type of player Malek is makes me think this is a very tough ask for Jelena.

Malek is a player who gets balls back. On grass she can use that defensive slice of hers to just keep the ball in play, continually returning deep making it difficult for opponents to hit winner against her. Dokic's patience discipline and consistency will be tested to the max and I have to say I am dubious she can come through the test. I say Malek wears her down in three sets, but I wouldn't be surprised if Dokic turns up out of form if it is two quite quick sets too.

Dokic played a match on grass at fed cup in April, so she has had some recent match play on the surface. Malek could push dokic but i think she can pull through in a tight 2 setter.

I just hope Jelena is healthy. Still devastated at her match against Lena in Paris. :sobbing:

If Dokic turns up and plays well, it's hers. Malek won't give her anything though and if Jelena's game is a bit off she'll lose. Total toss-up, but given the emphatic way she qualified I'm leaning towards Malek.
