Zvonareva only played one match since she got injured in Charleston in april.
Grass is not her favorite surface but the draw is perfect. Isn't it?

1st round vs Georgie Stopp
2nd round vs Melanie South or Mathilde Johansson
3rd round vs Virginie Razzano ??
4th round vs Marion Bartoli ??
Quarters vs Elena Dementiev ??

:confused::confused::confused:

What do you think? What can Vera do at Wimbledon 09??

Pretty unfit i'd imagine. Still, wouldnt put it past her having a good run here.

I see her definitely making the 3rd round, Razzano beat Vera when she was healthy in Dubai, so she just came back and I think she'll lose again.

When Vera came back at the US Open 07 she came back really strongly after a long gap so I'm hopeful she can win a good few rounds and hopefully get her year back on track.

She had a very competitive match against Amelie in Eastbourne. I wouldn't be surprised to see Vera live up to her seeding and make the Quarters.

Stoop would barely win a match in qualifying so no problems in the first round. Considering she's not fit/sharp and South went three with Bondarenko and Johansson gave Sveta the shock of her life in probably the best match of the tournament on the womens side last year, she could easily come unstuck in the second round if her opponent is playing well. Added to that how well Razzano's been moving people around at Eastbourne she'll do well to make it to the second week.

Razzano has a decent shot at making the SF.
This quarter is wide open
