If so: Carboneras in SouthEast coast of Spain. Went there 4 times (the last one in 2004) and it's so peacefull and nice, despite the last time they were devellopping a lot to be more attractive to tourists. Really like it.

About cities I have to say Berlin...a truly city-museum everywhere you go. So many history, so many remarkable things happened there.

I liked London but don't really like English food & people in London. I like Paris as well but it has a fake vibe sometimes for me :o Strassbourg is my favorite French city. And Colmar... The whole Alsace-region is amazing! :hearts:

San Francisco was okay but I prefer Los Angeles, San Diego or Las Vegas.

Rome is great, really nice, loved it two. New York was a long time ago and I can't remember much of it. Paris is nice but I think Rome and London are better.


I thought Toronto was so boring after visiting Niagra, the Tower thing and did shopping. I ended up visiting the Zoo. :lol:

New York, but next year I'll be living in Budapest for a month and touring to Prague and Vienna...so hopefully I can add some variety to my list. ;)

The most interesting one is probably Moscow, but I'm far from loving it.

Prague and Barcelona for me. But I do love my two home cities of London and New York too even if they aren't nearly as beautiful as Prague or Barcelona.

My faves would be Rome, Stockholm (imperial), Copenhagen (I miss riding my bike :sad: ), Edinbourgh, Berlin must be amazing for an Erasmus, soooo cheap!!!!
Oslo is nothing special at all, but I love Vigeland park and the nature surrounding the city; Moscow and NY are impressive but I don't know why I didn't fall in love with them, although I liked them. Washington on the other hand was a huge pleasant surprise...
Brugges is like living in a fairy tale (i wonder if there's supermarkets and so in there :lol: ), Prague is a must to go with your best half, Leuven and Brussels are beautiful IMO (well, I guess I love Belgium and its people :lol::hearts: ) and of course, Zaragoza, my city, always in my mind despite the distance :)

Next in the must go list: London, Lima, Buenos Aires, La Habana, Istambul, Budapest...

I guess an I dislike list would be easier for me :p

This is too hard to pick because each city is great in its own right. So i'll just comment on a couple

I wasn't a huge fan of London, I don't really know why...I wasn't there for long and it was cold, dreary and grey for the whole time I was there so maybe I will like it better if I go back.

Favourite city in USA is San Francisco, has a different more cultured feel than other US cities. People are a lot less fake and more down to earth, love the mid west for the people but the cities are not all that exciting.

In Australia nothing beats Melbourne, as a sports fan I don't think there is any better place in the world. People are a lot friendlier in Melbourne and there is so much to explore without having a ton of landmarks..

Am travelling to Europe soon so i'll probably pick a favourite out of those.

Kyoto. I definitely felt something there I haven't experienced anywhere else before. So peaceful, fascinating and beautiful.

Edinburgh and Vancouver.

San Antonio. It was so beautiful. :inlove:

I can't believe Tokyo, Chicago and Vancouver got no love. Perhaps I should've replaced them with Miami, Las Vegas and Amsterdam.

I think London is my favorite because of its diversity. It truly is the capital of the world. Plus people are so polite. Big Ben and London Bridge are awe inspiring upclose. Throw in the National Gallery and the British Museum, Harrods, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park...truely no equals(at least to me).

I like a good combination of modernity and history. Most sights in Rome are crumbling remains of a long-gone empire. Very much a test of one's imagination to conjure up images of Rome's past prosperity. :shrug:

Kuala Lumpur (totally biased) , Madrid (over Barcelona, yes.), Sydney (So much better than Melbourne), Paris (Food and Fashion!), Rome (stunning "old" feel with such GORGEOUS people)

But in terms of sheer beauty, I'd go with Lucerne.

I loved Rome because of the wonderment of how it used to be! And the fact that you have to use your imagination! Do you read a lot? Just wondering.

And the people in Rome were amazing! Courteous and sexy as hell! Not racist at all! At least not towards me and my sister.

I just hope I have means one day and actually get to travel abroad. My friend just got back from Paris and swears his life by it. I honestly want to go to a gay bar in London. Cute English gay guys?? :drool:

1 Hong Kong - Great good, great shopping and lots of things to do as well as the non stop energy. What else could you want more in a city. :angel:
2 Hangzhou - The atmosphere are just so different from other Chinese is just so relaxing.
3 Kyoto - Just beautiful. I wished I could stay there a bit longer.
4 Budapest - Great city accessible by foot and interesting places to see and the value for money for food. :drool:
5 Beijing - Especially when is not songging. :o Great History, and food.

My favorite UK cities:
1 Sheffield - One of the most friendly cities well in the UK. Shopping are beyond Meadowhall there are many little shops at parts of the city. A rare thing for British cities nowdays except for London.
2 York - Just so pretty.
3 Durham - like York but more impressive.

New York ! I love cos it's so different from the euopean cities, Paris is the best but I like the contrast.
Among the european cities, I like Verona, Barcelona.
I don't like that much London.

absolutely biased no.1 - HK:
nice shopping malls, convenient transport, many places for a night out, beautiful scenery. Even if you wanna hike, HK is good for you.

no.2 - Singapore:
despite the heat, Singapore is a good place for me to visit. Nice food (Malaysian food, Indian food) at a REALLY CHEAP price. Night safari is GOOOOOOOOD.

no.3 - Taipei:
also a good place for food. A 24-hour bookstore is a blessing for chinese. Also, beautiful scenery.

I don't like beijing though.

Out of the ones you've listed i've only ever been to New York, Paris and London. Wasn't a big fan of Paris, London is just not my city. New York on the other hand i thought was amazing, been there twice and want to go again.

I've really liked Barcelona, Dublin and Edinburgh aswell

Why because its too crowded, too fast of a lifestyle for you? You just have to get used to it. I was born and raised there so to me everything else is just too eh.

I was in Chicago 2 months ago and I thought the city was too slow :tape:

I am more of a country boy. Even Toronto is a bit much for me and it pales in comparison to NYC.

Your like my uncle then. He is such a country person and has no patience for cities at all. He absolutely loathes going to like Kitchener and that city is like a suburban city. :lol: I find it funny.

Exactly. It's fun for few days. But it ( mostly a pressure by insane population density ) turns most of people into vegetables very quickly, with life becoming mostly physiological. Don't believe those saying about culture and stuff. For 90% "culture"ends in pubs and bars.

I have no idea what you are talking about with New York City? I live there and have my entire life and if you can't deal with the population density, that is your own problem. Maybe your one of those people who prefer the countryside or small towns.

Turning most people into vegetables? Come on please, so untrue. Of course you know going there for a few days at a time, you THINK you get an idea of what it would be like to live there, but of course you don't have an ounce of clue. NYC culture is amazing because it has so many different cultures within it. Its all blended into on large group.

You have to live somewhere for atleast a year to really get a feel for the place and truly know it.

Montreal.

New York City is great.

It is great, vibrant etc. but brutal to live in, and for my taste, not romantic at all.

Venice is my choice.
