So who win???
I really think Julia might do an upset :scared:
And don't forget last year Julia beat Strebotnik 4-6 7-6(6) 16-14 :tape:

I hope for Julia, but I think Jankovic will. But if Julia's serve is working well it won't be easy.
I wonder what court this will be on, court 18 maybe?

Julia has a heavy game, but she's far too erratic to beat Jankovic over 3 sets IMO. Of course if Jankovic is playing the uber-defensive game we saw in Paris, Julia could be in with a shot. Big hitters are always in with a shout on grass against Jankovic.
That said though, Jankovic in 2 tough sets.

I immediately thought this has the potential to be an upset but Goerges is so erratic and you do get a bit of the good, the bad and the ugly with her. Whilst Jelena will probably be too consistent, I think Goerges has a chance.

I think its a perfect first round for jankovic.
Jelena will run down every ball from Julia until she makes an error.
That and an occasional backhand down the line will probably be enough.
I hope i'm wrong though.

Hopefully Julia. She was playing AMAZING tennis in RG before she had to retire.

Julia does tend to "play up" against the big names pretty well - it's surprising her ranking hasn't improved more given she has had some solid wins. The way Jelena's been playing this could go either way... I really hate that one of them has to lose!
