Though, i wish interviewers would give players who obviously can't speak very fluent or much english at all, a bit of a break. They have them out there for like 10 minutes scraping the barrel of their english capacity:lol:

If I hadn't seen King Oscar give a grasscourt clinic at that Dutch thing yesterday, I would have said that I had never seen anyone play on grass from so far behind the baseline as Radwanska did today. Razzano was well aware of that, as her frequent (and often successful) use of dropshots showed. Odd that Razzano probably took the initiative in mixing it up as much as Radwanska.

Also odd how Razzano had lots of trouble dealing with Radwanska's 2nd serves, which often bounced right in the middle of the service box. :help: Got the yips when it was time to closing out both sets, but otherwise was quite patient - and she could afford to be, as Radwanska doesn't have much to hurt anyone. Radwanska's ROS was quite bad up until very late in the 1st for some reason.

I can still remember when the grass at Eastbourne actually looked good (2006). But even then the bounce was horribly unpredictable.

BTW that return from Radwanska in the 1st SP of the 1st set was way out.

Awful season for Radwanska considering she won 3 tournaments last year and reached 2 QFs in Grand Slams. The tour is any better...what will it take for her to finally breakthrough?.
