Being a Dina fan is very stressful especially during Slams. I am not putting too much belief into Wimbledon especially since she seems very realistic about her chances of making a big splash there.

ESPN and Tennis Channel are both decent, but either of them will ditch a match involving foreigners to show a match involving Americans. :p If there aren't any Americans playing while Dina's on, or a guy they consider more interesting (probably any of the top 5 seeds), they'll show a lot of her match. Otherwise... TTC Online, here I come.

All except Brad Gilbert who reminds us everyday that he does not believe that she should be the no. 1 seed. They were in agreement that a second week finish here should propel her to a USO victory because it will give her a bit of confidence. Pam Shriver thinks that Dina should talk to Kim Clijsters because she had the same problems closing it out in slams

Talent wise I agree. Unfortunately, just being professional and lovely won't be enough  I can only recommend her to visit a sports psychologist.

Pam Shriver thinks that Dina should talk to Kim Clijsters because she had the same problems closing it out in slams

She can try but I think that Kim's problem was different. She was at least able to fight, just remember that FO against Capriati, and most of the time she lost to Henin who was probably her most feared opponent. Still she fought and it went to 3 sets most of the time.
That's a level Dinara has not even reached yet.

Maybe she can win one if she only cries for 1 hour? :haha:

Oh Dinara. I really shouldn't laugh but you have to laugh to avoid :bigcry:

I told him as long as you don't give me up to the ticket inspectors :p He just told me to sit on the ends so he can see me and tell the inspectors its fine, I sat in someones seat before moving down and I moved again and I was on edge for a while, kept telling everyone I got in for free :p I asked the guy next to me if he sat next to anyone and he said his gf but she wasn't coming. Q. One thing that sort of surprised us was you had been out on some of the outer courts and you were the French Open champion. Was that a surprise to you? You haven't really been out on the show courts even though you're the French Open champion.

SVETLANA KUZNETSOVA: I'm fine to put me wherever they want to me put. They don't have to put me Centre Court. But with the schedule, this is little bit weird thing. If you look the schedule, it's not about only me. It's about Dinara plays on court No. 2, Venus plays on court No. 1, and girls who's not very high seeded they play Centre.

I respect them. They're great players, for sure. But this is what's weird for me what's their strategy was of the plan of making the schedule. This is what surprised me a little bit.

Jun 25th, 2009, 03:48 PM
Q. Obviously the French Open win was great for you, but as you said yourself, pretty devastating for Dinara. Have you seen her around here, and how do you think she's rebounded from that?

SVETLANA KUZNETSOVA: I just had a long chat with her in the locker room. That's not why I was late, though. But straight after the match I had a chat with her. It was fine.

We talked about our private stuff, as well. We are good friends, you know, and she's fine.

Q. She seems pretty happy.

SVETLANA KUZNETSOVA: Why shouldn't be? You know, you should enjoy. It's past and she's No. 1 and she should enjoy.

I just love Sveta, I can't even hate her when she beats Dinara This is a general response,an apology really,to all you Sveta fans who post here...When Dina choked so pathetically in the RG final, including a display of putrid serving that I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't witnessed it,I was understandably upset and lashed out, unfairly,at Sveta.Fortunately,my conscience got the better of me and I deleted the most negative posts in a relatively short time.

To MY eyes,Svet isn't the most photogenic, gal but I have two trusted friends who speak well of what kind of person she is,and this is obviously far more important.Even Dina considers her a close pal...though I often wonder if it's wise to be so close to a dangerous rival who can use her knowledge of you against you...

Anyway,I'm a bit ashamed that I negatively singled Svet out for superficial reasons, and I'm honestly not like that in my daily dealings with others...maybe women's tennis somehow brings out the worst in me if I don't reign it in properly.Outwardly speaking, there is a decent amount of players who are far more attractive than Sveta, but many of them are nothing but hollow, mindless mannekins...impostors who can only try to impersonate sentient life forms b/c they completely lack any semblance of strong human character, and Sveta--a 2-time Slam winner--shouldn't be shoved aside in favor of these wastes of DNA....To conclude,I hope that none of you Svet fans had to read those nasty posts 2 weeks back but,if you DID,then I'm sincerely sorry:worship:

I think it's actually very good. CC can be a lot of pressure, just with the atmosphere. IMO, whatever takes some pressure off and lets her just go about her business is all for the good right now.

I don't think she minds, for me I want her in centre court so I can watch her on TV, totally selfish reason:tape:

This is a general response,an apology really,to all you Sveta fans who post here...When Dina choked so pathetically in the RG final, including a display of putrid serving that I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't witnessed it,I was understandably upset and lashed out, unfairly,at Sveta.Fortunately,my conscience got the better of me and I deleted the most negative posts in a relatively short time.

Don't be too worried about it Bruce, I made a few choice comments about Lena D a couple of months ago in total schoolyard retaliation against a Lena D fan and felt terrible and immature about it so I too deleted the posts, it happens . BTW I detest Sveta v Dinara matches, it seriously hurts to watch either of them lose to the other so the last few finals have been

Anyways.....good luck against Flipkens Dinara :bounce:
