Why have they build such a huge city as Naples on the slopes of a time bomb as Vesuvius? I mean it's been a question whether there will be more erruptions and a mega one? And those ppl who keep their homes in the vinicity, aren't they afraid of? Considering that the volcano had erruptions on average every 64 years, a new new one could happen any day now. And the longer it doesn; the more mega it will be once it happens. All scientists agree on that.

What gives?

none of the areas you described had any major disaster to the extent of Vesuvius in the past and scientists are not even in agreement whether it would happen in those places. In case of Vesuvius they all agree that it is not a matter of if, but when.

And to answer you other question, it is possibly not safe anywhere, but when there is such a certainty of a mega disaster happening, why build SUCH A HUGE city?

beauty kills sometimes and in this case scientists say it could be well 1,000,000 people taking into account insfrastructure that is not prepared for any bigger than a very small erruption

the us east coast wasn't discovered yet when it happened and experts consider it's also a question of time over there.same for the other places i mentioned and there are many more.

sell your house while you can and move. The science community had defined this site as the one it decided to raise awareness meaning it will get A LOT more media coverage ---> falling real estate prices.
