It may have been the monstrous downpour that came out of nowhere that has just hit me where I live.

I'm now soaked. Stupid weather :fiery:

Well she is serving with high risk and getting lots of free/easy points on second serve, so naturally she´ll pile up some DFs. It´s not like Glatch had lots of breakpoints.

Shouldn´t british tournaments be mandatory indoors or something? Annoying weather.

mabe she's just tersting her second serve against these oponents, then se has a week before wimbledon to fix a few things

I think Maria is hitting hard the second serve, maybe even too much. Apart the df her opponent only won something like 2 points on her 2nd serve

strange stat :help:

and of course the fact that in not even two straight sets Maria already did 8 df sucks :o

There could be rain delays at Wimbledon--and the emotional struggle of pondering lost match points, and knowing you can still close it out quickly, or turn it into a whole new opportunity for your opponent.

It still counts as preparation.

hopefully. well th biggest change comparing to the last year when she was playing despite the injury is that when the second serve is IN it's really a good second serve. the problem is that sometimes she just seems to lose the movement or simply the time

This is appropriate. A few years ago at Wimbledon they should've done the same with Sugiyama's match - good on the umpire to suspend this.

C'mon Maria. 3 points! :tape:
Chances of that are LOW.

What are the chances of returning to court today?
What a pain in the ass, playing through some rain all these delays, quality seems to go out the door. The players just want to get through.
