The Intervention of the Sabine Women is a 1799 painting by the French painter Jacques-Louis David.

its going in the living room, but i dont know what size print is best, so i am taking a poll!!!!

i love this painting, and will order an art print, but i need your vote:
16 x 12 in for $39.99, 24 x 18 in for $49.99 or 32 x 24 in for $69.99. this will be on the living room, unframed. VOTE!

That is one of my favorite artworks of all time, my favorite one is "The Oath of the Horatii"

For something like this, I'd suggest possibly going with the biggest print. Its the most expensive, but its a beautiful work of art to be appreciated on a large scale.

Beautiful. But it can be overwhelming. I am a medium person on this.....

the size of your print is dependent on the size of your room and wall that it will be displayed upon

good point, right now, the walls are bare, this will be one of only two or three items on the wall. the room is big, 14' x 23' i think or something around that.

If you're getting one/two more pieces, I'd go with the medium size.

Also - can't find a decent image, but the Creation of Man by Michelangelo is my favorite piece of art. I have a small print of it, but only the two hands close-up. I like that better I think than the whole piece, because it still has a ton of meaning, but not necessarily religious.

I'd go with the big one but get a nice frame. Actually, I'm not a big fan of prints. They look kind of cheap imo compared with original work that you can find cheap at starving artist sales and things like that. But if you love the picture go for it.

Not the small one - there is too much going on in this painting for the small size. Largest would be my choice, if the room can handle it.

1- paris hilton has gone on record saying she only buys fakes :ras:
2- LV wallet $300/ original $300 million. needless to say there is a difference between 3 hundred dollars and 300 million dollars.
its like saying anyone with a computer should be able to buy only original da vincis :ras:

As if the Louvre or the National Gallery in London are going to part with their Da Vinci's at ANY price! :haha:

I really don't know if I could be married to anyone that would not want a DaVinci in their house!
On another note, I really do not mind the impressionists, but I assume that you are just making a point.
