View Full Version : If there are men's tennis matches not to miss, Hewitt-Agassi is one.

That's my opinion. The men's final, regardless of who joins Pete, will be awesome as well. Let's hope these matches unfold to expectations.

Agassi took the first set 6-4.
Breaks: 1 for Hewitt, 2 for Agassi

Not the typical bing-bang-blow of men's tennis! Here, we have a lot of point construction, thinking ahead, fine ground strokes, all resulting in great rallies.

Did anybody see that last point, set-2 tie-break point 1, that went Agassi's way? OMG!

I hope some of you are watching.

Writing as AA just won the second set...

I've never liked Andre and I hate Lleyt, but boy do they play great tennis!!!

I don't care for Sampras either (Goran is my fave since Becker retired, so I don't have much to root for in the ATP) but I'm happy the "old men" are showing the "new balls" a few things again.:p :p :p

So I haven't been following closely, but did Lleyt have a falling out with his coach or did Andre steal him?

Just wondering (my first men's tennis question on the board).

Awesome match. Lleyton was great but Andre was even better.
Pete'd better be ready.

hewitt had a falling out with his coach, whom Andre wisely snatched up a couple months later.

I seem to recall reading some article that suggested the lob and drop shot were dead in mens tennis

I hope that women is rolling over in embarrassment :p
