Horrible draw. Kuzi and Safina - two the best players on clay in 2009 (2 finals in 2 tournaments on clay)...

I hope Aga will win with Stosur -> Ruano Pascual -> Kuzi (she should be tired after 2 finals and maybe 2 titles) -> Safina (tired too + doubles with Szavay in Madrit)

Come on!!

(To everyone, not only Aga)
I hope Cinek will be right..
Dawaj Aga!

Agree, tough draw.:p
Stosur is not easy but Aga should beat her.
Then Anna Chakvetadze: From what I`ve seen from her in Rome I can say Anna C. is for sure on her way back, she seemed motivated and fighting again.
Hopefully Cirstea or A.Bondarenko upset Kuznetsova, then Agas 3rd round would be easier.;)
Then probably Safina in Quarterfinal.:scared:

Aga should reach at least 3rd round,
Kuznetsova in current form is really difficult to beat!

Gooo Aga!!!:rocker:

I am a little worried about Anna C. Agnieszka has not had too much luck with her and regardless of her (Anna's) unreliable form she is still a good player. I also think that Svetlana wants Agnieszka's blood.

Cinek

Chakvetadze def. Pascual [WC] 6-4 6-3
and Aga is probably play with Anna if Aga beat Stosur.

Agnieszka lost. It's not a surprise after what I saw against Venus. Pure unforced errors. They may be also caused by the injured back of Aga. GL in Warsaw!

Another mandatory first round exit now only her 13 results means something more than 5 points :| she wont be playing in yec, no way..

if she wants to be TOP 10, not mentioning TOP 5, she needs to play (and win) in big events
I hope the WTA rules will be changed, specially the ranking points system.

You started to say the right thing, Agnieszka has to start winning big tournaments and against great players and that has nothing to do with ranking system.

Before Agnieszka starts to win against great players, she has to get healthy and able to beat players like Li, Stosur, Rezai and Bondarenko. Playing in International tournaments will give her absolutely nothing if she cant beat players of this kind.

Shame her worst result on the clay court season happened at the only mandatory event. This rule puts even more pressure on players, I really don't like it. A 80 or 5 points is extreme to me. Well... too bad for this one, things should be more exciting next week in Warsaw :)

jomamoto
May 11th, 2009, 12:41 PM
In Madrid there are 5 seeded players out in day 1 R1 so I hope that is for Aga to better prepare to Warsaw. All are complaining for the new rules of mandatory events, especially Aga.
