Bravo, Serena!

Good showing Hantuchova! As Mary Carillo suggested, go have a pizza with a lot cheese on. You need to beef up that body. This is not a court for models; this is the age of power tennis. :)

untitled,
That depends on your perspective on life. USA's coverage of the "featured match" left a lot to be desired. I understand that the match wasn't as "competitive" as they would have liked, but the scant coverage of all the matches that Serena has played has been pathetic. The most we've seen of Serena was on Sunday, and that's because it was the only match going at the time.

I havn't seen Serena at all! Channel 9 only show women's matches when a) there are no other matches at the time or b) a seed is close to losing...and even then, their coverage of Men's matches is bad. They have only shown Hewitt once in this tournament and most of Wimbledon was delayed telecasts...Channel 7 had better get the Australian Open

Tracy Austin seemed to be in a state of shock... couldn't believe what she was seeing. Actually said that the rest of the field should just stay home. lol.

Has anyone noticed that Serena and Venus COMBINED have thus far received less airtime coverage than Davenport alone? Even though USA always heavily promotes their matches as a lure to get people to watch before they subject us to one long, interminable , boring men's match after another? (Like Roddick's today).

Anyway, what little was shown of Serena dramatically demonstrated why Hantuchova, as talented as she is, shouldn't have been on the same court with the # 1 player in the world! Go, Serena, Go!!

I truly love Venus. She is my fave forever. But she better be on her game and I mean 90-!00% to beat Serena, who's currently playing some of the best tennis I've ever seen. Come on Venus! Go Serena! It's time for another All-Williams epic (as others cry, bitch, and moan) I say let 'em LOL. The sisters got bigger fish to fry...

I think it's rude to call Daniela a "stickfigure" just cuz she's thin don't mean she's a stick. Some ppl are naturally skinny like that, like me and no matter how many freakin Pizzas u eat, u don't really gain alot of weight.

So ppl should just let her be, and admire her for her talent and game, not critisize her weight.

anyways......

seeing as how Serena is my fav player i was impressed at the level of her game right now!! she is just on fire
 I think Babygirl will take Grand Slam #3 on Saturday, heres to a great all williams final.:wavey:

V+S - If SERENA is your favorite player in the whole wide world, then why isn't your name "SERENA +Venus#1fan"? LOL :)

Just go ahead and take a real big jump on the beautiful SERENA bandwagon then. :)

watching Roddick, or watching Serena..what's the difference?? they are both terribly boring and esp. one sided matches... I'd prefer a more competitive match like Linds-Elena

Hi guys,
Serena just continues to prove how much better than everyone else she is today.
She is strong, has great ability and is really using her brain now. If she could back up her main game with a back up volleying game, I'd same she is the best womens player I've seen.

Even though she played awesome, my highlights of the game were when Daniela kinda laugh at herself when she won the game to go to 1-4 in the second set with a serve volley, drop volley combination and then when the camera got a close up of Daniela at the final change of ends watching the big screen while they were showing a replay of the amazing Roddick point. She smiled again in amazement.
It was nice to she her quite relaxed about the situation and not down on herself.
She's just been unlucky to draw Serena in two consecutive quarter finals at Slam.

One thing though. I have been definitely following Daniela more than any other player this year, but I still enjoy the play of all the women and men. All of them have talent, and do there best, and look great.
I try to be non bias in my comments and praise all the players, even the one playing my Daniela, but I'm starting to wonder why I bother. There are so many people here who have no respect for the people that go out there and entertain us with their talents.

"Stickfigure"........you are a joke buddy. Serena isn't my fave player, but even she doesn't deserve a goose like you as a fan.

And Venus+Serena fan, I'm sure your a beautiful person, don't worry about people like this :) :wavey:

Thanks guys

Simon V

CBS is expecting an all Williams final. They do not want to overexpose Serena and Venus so as to have the best ratings for the prime time LIVE.

I`m not a fan of Williams.Definitley not of Serena.
Daniela was injured...and she go really lucky to be drawn in a 1/4 final match with Serena... :(
But she has lots of talent...and next time she`ll show some of it to Serena ...and i`m sure about it.
