... asking, hinting and implying that Monica is/should retire.

And that jackass on USA asked Mike Sell if Monica was going to retire, all the while they were watching Monica take the first set off of Marti in a U.S. Open round of 16 match!

And then that ass implied that Sell wanted Monica to keep playing so that he would have a damn job!

And then Austin piped in and agreed with this fool.

Unbelieveable!

I have been disappointed with the commentary this year. Did anyone hear Jim Courier's flaying of Anna on Saturday night when she was playing doubles. Pathetic. Very mean spirited. At least Evert's comments are more dumb and uninformed that mean spirited. He clearly cannot stand Anna, I do not know if she turned him down once or he is jealous because she is prettier and gets all the boys. Either way, he has it out for her and does not even hide it.

Again? CBS asked Mike Sell on Saturday the same question! All these f*ckers should leave Moni and Mikey alone! lol She's No.4 player in the world..why would she want to retire?

what did Courier say about Anna, Helen?

He was really mocking her, almost in a punch-drunk fashion. He was talking about how no real player would attend a music awards ceremony during a major or stay out late. When Anna and Martina were 2 points away from winning, he said something like "two points from the autograph session, Anna." Then she hit a volley right at the net for a winner and he says "Don't touch that net, Anna." Then he says that Anna and Martina need to work on their high-fives because they hit too many "wiffs." The tone of the voice was extremely condescending. I actually could not believe how mean he was being. Tracy Austin kept trying to intervene a little about Anna's accomplishments but it was pretty bad. Then he adds that Martina must be mad that she did not wear "a cute little thing" for the boys like Anna did, as Sergio Garcia was watching. These quotes do not appear that bad as written, it was the tone of his voice that made the diatribe unreal.

Jim really went overboard with his comments! I'm not a big Anna fan either but I thought he was being really nasty! The comments about the music awards were IMO warranted but not the other stuff he said

I have forgotten much of what he said but my jaw was dropping at the time about how mean, personal, and truly nasty he was being.

LMAO nysaga!

Jim was just wanting Anna to finish up on court so he could see some dick.

He'd better keep his wanking hands off Andy. Jim is such a bad American ambassador

Jim is somewhat of a clown...but never malicious as some people make him seem to be. :o If you want to talk about someone who really dislikes Anna:o Mary Carillo never hesitates to give her opinion about her. Tracy is even worse:eek: She acts so bitter towars the players she hates. It's not even funny:(

He was malicious the other night. Tracy kept trying to divert him with some of Anna's accomplishments (hey Jim, how many doubles titles do you have?). Tracy did admit, however, that she did not go to award shows during a tournament. But Serena did do Letterman and opened the stock exchange, so it was a little unfair if you ask me.

Serena did the Stock Exchange at the beginning of the tournament, the first Monday I think. The Letterman was a repeat from weeks ago.

Maybe Roddick gave Anna an admiring glance and courier saw it ......can't blame courier for attacking anything that gets between him and the love of his life , Andy

I didn't think he was being so malicious??? I mean he was giving commentary and also saying at the same time how good it was that Anna was out at the VMA's brining exposure to the sport...everyone else was ripping Anna saying she had no business being out there. Tracy Austin was just as stale as ever commentating that she wouldn't have gone

I think he was trying to be funny...what he really said was...I remmber because I thougjt it was a little cute "The only thing I see that they need to work on with their game is their high fives" That is where the refereces to the whiffs came from..they were missing each other more than connecting...

Perhaps he was a bit too much...I didn't think so but many of you seem to think he was. http://www.fsuniverse.net/forums/graemlins/lynchstill.gif I must admit though, He had me laughing so hard http://www.fsuniverse.net/forums/graemlins/EVILLE.gif and I like Anna.
