I've never seen anyone disliked as much at the US Open as Greg Rusedski.
The crowd supports Americans of course but often with a lot of support for other players. For example, Corretja was treated very warmly last night, despite the pro-Roddick atmosphere. Corretja has always been popular here and there were lots of shouts "Vamos, Alex."
With Rusedski, it doesn't matter who he's playing. The whole crowd was rooting for Paradorn the other night.
I don't know if it's the way he adjusts his socks between every point, or the negativity and arrogance he just exudes.
His incredibly unsportsmanlike comments about Sampras will not help him in the future ("I lost the match. He didn't win it.")
