I was very surprised and very impressed that Daniela Hantuchova could overcome a thumb injury, an ankle injury and a fine opponent in Justine Henin, and advance to the quareterfinals. Nothing looks tough about Daniela. She's about as fragile as you can get. But she showed alot of inner strength in overcoming her injuries ti defeat Justine Henin 6-1 3-6 7-6(4)! Well done Daniela! :)

And how can you not like Daniela Hantuchova?

I wish her luck against Serena Williams. She's going to need it! We all know what Serena does to skinny girls! Maybe Serena will play a bad match! :D She is overdue for a bad match!

brick, there is no way Daniela will be in top shape to play against Serena. She has thumb and ankle injuries. But she's just beginning her career, and playing Serena again in a grand slam will be a great experience. Even if Serena crushes her as expected! Good luck to Daniela!

Daniela is going to need alot of inner strength to avoid getting crushed by the "S - Train", Serena Williams! I expect Daniela to be competitive with Serena.

Maybe Serena will play a bad match! She is overdue for a bad match!

you're talking about this tournament, right??

if not she just lost to Rubin before coming into the USOPEN - me thinks you've already had your quota of BAAAD matches:angel:

actually, she did not play that well against corina either so really not much hope of a 'bad serena day' sorry.

on the other hand, and keeping with the spirit of the thread, i will hope that Daniella's injuries are healed before the match so she can do herself justice. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

btw
is she still entered for doubles/mixed?

might not be such a good idea to play before the quaters

Legends, you wait and see tonight. Serena is due for an off day. Serena has the muscle. But Daniela has the hustle! ;) I think it will be a very competitive match!
