Take one day of happiness at a time. Knowing Marta she can give you a heart attack tomorrow or the day after. I wish her the best, but she has to prove that she can handle mounting pressure; for her every subsequent match to a victory is stress. She handled today’s game well, regardless of Olga’s form. I hope she will continue. Anyway take care of yourself Adrian, don’t get too excited ;)

Very good result for Marta. At the very least it indicates that Marta is healthy again. That's good. But clearly there is something very very wrong with Savchuk at the moment. This is already the 3rd time this year she has lost winning two or fewer games. So I wouldn't get too carried away by this result. Next round will probably be against Patricia Mayr, who right now is tearing apart Elena Baltacha. On the surface it sounds like a winnable match but let's see...

For Marta that's an unusual score. The only thing I can be certain about her is to be constantly surprised. An 'interesting' girl as they say. When she plays well she really does. If she could only play well more often.

Yes, that's right, and Marta may be one of the most womanly and charming, not just bodily attractive, in the Top 100. Unfortunately, that is of no help when one wants to be a steady tennis player.

I won't be surprised to see Olga Savchuk retire. She has gone nowhere in the past three years.

And the competition keeps getting better.
