Hingis I remember was good, pretty good.

Dementieva usually falls apart in the wind. Although sometimes she'll play well, just to keep all her fans completely :weirdo:

The three matches where Peer won were so funny!

Gold Coast: Safina had *5-4 40-0 on the 3rd set
Fed Cup: Safina lost after having won the first set by 6-0
Wimbledon: Safina wasted several match points and was up 5-3 on the 3rd set

Also, Svetlana only wins titles outdoors on windy days. Hence the drought.

Dinara cannot stand to play in the wind, as others have mentioned. When she played Jankovic in the 2007 Charleston final, it was in post-tornado wind that was constantly changing direction. JJ handled that better than I've ever seen a play handle very unpredictable and high winds.

anna kournikova just sent davenport crazy in the wind in miami in '98, she kept drop shoting and throwing up lobs and daveport was all over the place trying to get a solid trike of 'soft' balls from anna that the wind would get hold of. it was just a case of anna playing the best tactics for the conditions, most players nowadays wouldn't have a clue how to do this.

Safina is probably the worst, her high ball toss and erratic play can lead to a plethora of errors.
