I know it seems quite early to choose, but who do you think will win Miami. I say Serena, becuase she is so dominant there, and is the two-time defending champion there:worship:
Other than her, I'd say Venus, becuase she is in great form, and like Serena she has also done very good in Miami.

Serena is the player to beat on hardcourts this year. She's won 2 slams in a row. she's won 2 miamis, in a row, including 5 overall.

no one in their right mind will stop her this year.

still, it's Serena's tournament to lose. Wouldn't mind if she broke Steffi's record, BUT if she meets Venus along the way well baby sis will just have to go down.

Hard to pick against a woman who's already won a major this year, and has won the event more times than anyone else in the field combined.

(Venus has 3 and Kuzy has 1, but that's it right?)

It's a shame neither one of those girls ever practiced in an empty pool because that would've given Mary Carillo something interesting to talk about during the all-Radwanska final.

I suppose nothing short of a miracle could prevent Serena from winning it. I'm not trying to jinx her, it's just that all the others are quite useless atm  Venus, Azarenka and Vera may give good performances but I can't see any of them winning the title.

as long as Venus is in the final, I can deal with Serena winning (but only for history sake). But my strong preference is for Venus to take it all even if Serena goes down in the process. That's my point.

I dont like to argue with the fans of my second favorite , but still i think that the 10 times GS Champion was the better player in that match and could have won the title , but it doesnt matter as she took over venus at the USOPEN weeks after that lost .

Serena OWNS Miami for everOk. but I was referring to Wimbledon titles.

Serena taking down Venus at Wimbledon is possible, but you've got to favor Venus.

Venus taking down Serena at Miami is possible, but you've got to favor Serena.

Just to make it more complicated, think of this twist: ;)

They are tied in h2h on grass, though Serena leads in Wimbledon final h2hs 2-1.

Venus leads on hardcourt by one and Venus leads in Miami match h2hs 2-1.

Still, no one can doubt that Serena has gotten the better part of the rivalry, so a Miami win would be a small, but delightful recompense for Venus.

oh, and we're not arguing, we're discussing. . .like I said, I'm good with Serena winning Miami, but if she meets Venus I'll be like Serena who?

She comes out of nowhere and wins when it isn't expected; and then loses out of nowhere, too.

Still, she was my first Williams love and no amount of winning by Serena, her heirs or assigns will move her from that spot. :worship:
