I confirmed this with Directv yesterday. I didn't wanna have to go through what I went through last year so I purchased the Sports Pack from Direct TV for $10 for the month. The things a brotha gotta go through to see Venus, Serena, Ana, Federer, Nadal, Tsonga, Murray, Novak, Andy and Gael

Also, streams aren't always a definite for US so if you have directv, go ahead & get the Sports pack for 1 month.

was reading through gototennis's posts and they also recommended emailing FSN about their poor coverage. there is a link somewhere on there...maybe if we all email FSN:mad:, then when it comes time for Miami, they will get the idea..

Don't blame FSN for the poor coverage when it is a local channel. Depending on your market, the local hockey game or basketball game will clearly trump Indian Wells tennis coverage.

It is hard to blame FSN for having the rights to the event. We should be blaming Tennis Channel for not swooping in. ESPN let it go because March is so heavily dense with college basketball -- tennis got in the way and wasn't as profitable. TTC has no excuse.

yeah...TTC should have complete coverage of both tournaments. We can't blame local networks for not showing it

it's actually more consistent this year, than the last tourney they covered. they've shown indian wells every day this week. they'll probably do the same for Miami. :)

yeah i agree this year is better than last year, but it still could be so much better.

but i remember FSN cutting coverage last year without warning in the middle of points/sets when the time slot ended...

This is very good news, and follows in the footsteps of extended coverage of Indian Wells (IW) on both Fox and the Tennis Channel. For IW, both Fox and Tennis Channel have covered about 50% of the major matches, although both are heavier with mens' matches compared to womens'.

I've enjoyed listening to commentators Sam Gore, Lindsay Davenport, and very surprisingly Justin Gimelstob, despite his sexist reputation. The commentary isn't too chatty or trite, and actually is thoughtful and interesting.

Btw, does anyone else think that Sam Gore sounds exactly like Patrick McEnroe? I can't tell if it's Sam or Patrick until the speaker is identified by the network.

Does anyone know if there will be zero livestreams for the WTA as well?.
