well, the QF lineup pretty much ends all the moaning about how awful this tournament is. Nothing extra-ordinary here, you can even say that's quite good tourney after all :)

Yeah, Dementieva, Jankovic, and Kuztesova are the only top seeds missing from the quarters. So the tournament should end up on a good note after the mass exitus of the middle seeds in their first matches

Indeed. After a big upsets galore 2nd round this tournament has definately returned to normalcy and the final eight is actually not at all unusual or surprising. Even of the three top eights seeds to go out only Dementieva could be considered a shock. I also think most people expected Wozniacki to be in the last eight rather than Kuznetsova. I know I did.

It's seeds what counts.And 7 Seeds + 1 Promisings future top 20 is great.

Bammer has won her last 2 matches easily.
She's the in form player in this tournament, probably playing the best right now
Everyone else is grimly hanging on each match

it's often like that.

seeds start to lose and you feel like an unseeded player will win the whole then you realize than they are still the last ones standings.
