View Full Version : Could this be Peer's tournament?

After all of the drama that she has endured this year, and with the seeds dropping like flies, wouldn't it be nice if Sharar Peer won Indian Wells?

It would be fitting. Dubai discriminated against her and refused to permit her to play because of her nationality. One month later, she wins a tournament that the Williams sisters are boycotting because of, among other things, claims of discrimination/unfair treatment (take your pick).

Shahar has already knocked out 2 seeds, Bartoli, who has been playing well, and Chakvetadze. It may be her time to shine in the desert of California.

In dreams.

And for some, in nightmares.

Who does she play next? I would like the final to be Hantuchova/Peer, personally.

She plays Vesnina or Azarenka.

bartoli and chakvetadze, upon looking at matchups and H2H is barely anything notable.

should she beat azarenka, that would be the biggest win for her in ages.

Vika has 15-1 record this year, so I'm not that confident..

I think Peer can and will win. The Dubai incident seems to have put some power and tactic to her game because she's been playing well. It will be nice to see her lift up the trophy.

Wonder if the Middle East papers would print pics of her holding up the trophy.

Yeah, it would be great if Shahar would win this. She's got probably Safina, Zvonareva (or Li Na) and Wozniacki to contend with though. Before that even, she has Azarenka to get past. It won't be an easy road.

Oh well, let's see what happens.

I couldn't care less, and I'm sure she wouldn't too

Both were very good wins, but still one over a player she owns and another over an equally (like her until recently) slumping opponent.
I wasn't around to respond here before the match began (currently 7-5 1-3 in favor of Vika) but wrote similar things elsewhere (http://www.tennisforum.com/showpost.php?p=15199035&postcount=8) - can't see her beating Azarenka and surely not winning the title, the latter not even in my dreams ;)

Some similar results to follow would suffice.

How classy of you, as usual.
Maybe you should switch to watching ping-pong, to fit the size of your personality.

He has no personality, I saw his arguments about the Peer Dubai affair and they were so ridicules , this person should be in your ignore list.
