Caro should have won 2nd set after being up with break, but she blew it.

Oh well, doesn't matter now.

Well done Caro! But a shoulder injury may hurt Caro in next matches...

The Shoulder Plays Wozniacki Up
15-03-09: 22:00 | by: TV 2 Sporten at Indian Wells, USA

Caroline Wozniacki is through to the fourth round of the WTA tournament Paribas Open in Indian Wells. But it was not easy. Only after three sets could Wozniacki shake hands with her Estonian opponent Kaia Kanepi.

"It was a hard fight. I think I played really well in the beginning, and right up to the middle of the second set I played good enough, but it was as if she took over, and so it was difficult. But I am so glade that I am going further, "said Wozniacki to TV 2 Sport after the battle on court 4 of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

The Dane is still troubled by a slight injury in the right shoulder. According to her father and coach Piotr Wozniacki, it was clear that his daughter could not serve with full power to the 18 seeded ester.

"It was clearly a handicap for Caroline. Halfway through the match, she suddenly could not serve 100 percent, but I hope it will become better and better as days go on," said father Wozniacki.

"Although I was obviously bothered by the shoulder, I kept on fighting and played for every ball and that fortunately paid off eventually," added Caroline Wozniacki.

Caroline Wozniacki can look forward to a day off tomorrow, before either American Alexa Glatch or Pole Urszula Radwanska awaits in the fourth round Tuesday. A match which the Dane had no energy to think about at all immediately after the match against Kanepi.

"Right now I'm just happy that I won and it's just home and relax a little," said Wozniacki.

Caro :D :clap2:
I expected a tough match, and it was. 85 total points won compared to 81 for Kanepi.
But she probably should not have played doubles on Friday with that shoulder problem already bothering her.

yeah, it sux to see her lose a match where she served better than 60%... that does not happen very often. she was in control of the game by the end of the 2nd set having been completely outclassed in the 1st, had these break-points at 3:5 in the 3rd, etc. somehow her game is not consistent. i don't think she is afraid of big matches, she seems to be uneasy with oponents that she knows she can beat. i'm not a shrink, so what do I know... clearly she's moving in the right direction, but it's time for her to break through in a meaningful way. or maybe i am being a bit impatient here.
