She is currently #11, and only 42 points away behind #10 Radwanska. I think she'll be there really really soon and she deserves it. What do you think guys?

Not Top10-worthy imho.

She has only lost 1 match in WTAs this year, so TOP 10 is near, and she's better just now than Aga imo, after Miami she's TOP 10.

Agniezka is playing Monterrey, IW and has nothing to defend in Miami
So Victoria will have to wait a few more weeks;)

She only wins matches because her opponents are so annoyed by her grunt. Not top 10 worthy.

Lil sis beat Aga easily, so she's not either top 10 worthy. But how many weeks has she spend in TOP 10? ;)

I think it's time for Aga to part ways with the top 10.

both aga and vika just don't seem top 10 to me, i cant really think of any huge scalps for either. has either ever made a tier 1 final?

that means Cornet and Cibulkova deserve to be in the top 10?

Well Aga has a QF = 230 points to defend in Indian Wells, Vika has nothing. Yes Aga lost in her first match in Miami 2008, but Vika only reached R32 = 90 points. Not a lot to defend either.
Vika has a bit more to defend during the clay season though, but I would also argue that Vika's form in 2009 has been better so far than Aga's.

at least they have proved themselves more on a bigger stage, surely a top 10 player should be capable of reaching a big final.

Aga beat Sharapova at the USO in 2007, and Maria was the defending champ at the time. I thinks
that's a big scalp.

Vika doesn't have any "big" scalps yet, but she does have more top 10 wins than Wozniacki & Cornet and the same as Cibulkova. She also has a better grand slam record in her ranking than most of them:

Radwanska: 1R-4R-QF-4R
Azarenka: 4R-4R-3R-3R
Wozniacki: 3R-3R-3R-4R
Cibulkova: 4R-3R-1R-3R
Cornet: 4R-3R-1R-3R

Cibulkova made the Montreal final, but she's never won even a small title. Wozniacki always sticks to the Mickey Mouse events and has only made it to the SF of a Tier I/Tier II/Premier once. Cornet's only made it to one SF at an event off of clay (big or small). Vika doesn't have a Tier I or Premier title, but she has a few SF at TI (Berlin & Montreal, lost to Safina twice) and TII events (Stuttgart, Los Angeles, Zurich) as well as two titles and a final at smaller events. So I don't see why she's any less deserving of a top 10 spot than any of these people and she's been playing better than Radwanska (and beat her last time they played).

I think if you're top 10-worthy then you should have made a slam quarter and maybe won a tier 2 or been a tier 1 finalist a couple of times. It's a sign of quality. Of course, these are just my own weird personal criteria and there are always mitigating factors. I mean Aga has won a tier 2, but it was horribly weak.
But still, I wish Maria would just hurry on back or another girl would have a Real breakthrough.

I like her alot, she has a great game, lots of passion and fight.I'll take it a step forward and say she'll play at The Year End Championships.

well she needs to prove herself IMO this year. She has shown she is capable of winninng MM tournaments now. And she has somewhat demonstrated she is ready to play with the big girls: defeated Dementieva in 3 sets in the fall of 2008 on her route to the SF in Stuttgart, and taking a set of Serena at the Open. I am very interested in seeing how she does in Indian Wells. It is time for her to beat more of the top10, and her upcoming schedule is Indian Wells, Miami and Charleston, so it is very likely she'll play the top10 soon.

Radwankska isn't playing well, so it's between azarenka, cornet and wozniaki who'll be top10 soon IMO. Although wozniacki isn't playing well either.

Looking at indian wells and miami, Wozniacki has 2 4th rounds to defend so she won't get to the top10.
Azarenka and Cornet hardly have anything to defend. So it's pretty much even between them right now. 1 of them will be top10 after miami for sure. (Unless mauresmo goes on a streak)

I think Aga and Caro are more proven. I'd like to see more results from Vika before I say she "deserves" it. But hey, if you get enough points to be top 10, you deserve it whether you're one of the best 10 players on tour or not.

Out of 32 players who broke into top-10 since 1997 only 16 had won Tier II+ title AND reached QF+ at Slams previously in their career:

Tauziat, V.Williams, Schnyder, Halard, Testud, Clijsters, Dokic, Hantuchova, Myskina, Sugiyama, Sharapova, Molik, Safina, Chakvetadze, Ivanovic, Radwanska.
