All good things have to come to an end.
Anna is now #22.
And after Paris, where she is not competing, her ranking is going to sink like a stone. :help:

How long would it take for her to get back into Top 20?

#22 is with the paris points taken off, the tour is a week early this year!

well, in that case, she'll back to top 20 even faster!

 Sure hope so too..

I think the drop will be a good thing, it will make her fight even more to get back into the "big girls" club. ;)

Thankfully, Anna does not look like a quitter to me (unlike another one of my faves who shall remain nameless).
I'm sure she'll keep working hard, and hopefully the results will come sooner than later. The talent is there, no matter what some say. She just needs to get some confidence back - confidence in her game and her abilities.

Anna doesn't have much to defend. Hopefully she can get herself out of this rut and start winning again :o

To be honest, the way Anna has been playing, I think she's quite lucky to have stayed in the top 20 for so long. I guess that means that if she starts playing better a return to the top 10 is on the cards. :bounce:

anna just needs to start winning matches, miami she really has to win her 2nd round match because she really dosen't need a 5 pointer on her ranks.

As of today, Anna is ranked #40.

Its looking more likely that she'll be unranked for US Open. :(

Have faith, she'll come back soon, with bigger serves, faster movement and improved moral.... YES SHE CAN!
and yes .. i'm STILL a big fan unlike most of you who gave up on her :)

im still a big fan, but after seeing her mental display at wimbledon the faith in a return to the top has gone for now.

 unfortunately i was there and went out just before she walked out, she was quite annoyed, true..

poor anna.
she is just super frustrated with her game right now.
self-coaching or daddy coaching is not working.
she really needs a pro coach...and listen to the coach

Its so true but the bright side is (yes there is a bright side lol) is that she will have absolutely no more points to defend come US Open.

Well her level is getting better and better & she has cut down significantly on DFs. One good win and I think it will be the re-birth of 2007 Anna Chakvetadze. It's all a matter of confidence now, the rest is there.

Is this with the New Haven points off?
