It's nice to see Agnes have some form again. :)

She will have some chance against Venus, although she is admittedly more likely to lose. Venus was obviously shaky today, so why not against Agnes? The thing about Venus is she's breakable, because she makes errors, but she is very dangerous when you are serving, so if you are serving at 2-3, or 3-4, then you are probably already losing. Agi needs to get early breaks in each set and also to break Venus several times, because Venus will probably break Agi quite a few times.

OMG :sobbing: The beginning of the match was so promising, Agi was constantly putting pressure on King & was cruising on her serve. I was already feeling worried that she would be Marion's next opponent...
Still, Agi is slowly improving. I would not call this one a bad loss. She should have taken the victory but it's more her nerves which are to blame. I would say that her tennis is coming back.

In IW, Agi gets a bye in R1, and will face either Gallovits or Kirilenko in R2 ;)

I do hope she fixes this serve soon again. It has been useless for almost 2 years now, which is completely inconsistent with this outrageous 2nd serve ace that saved the MP against Jankovic in Beijing.
