I really thought she would start fresh this new year.....but this loss proves she doesn't give a shit about tennis anymore........come back in 2010 Nicole.

What a waste of talent. I am so pi$$ed off by her decline...and its not any decline its a steep, colossal fall from a where she used to be. Chak, Ana and Kuzzie have all had slumps but Vaidisova has taken the term slump to a whole new level. I seriously cannot understand what has gone wrong with her. If its motivation that she needs, then take a break Nicole. If its Radek that is causing this, then if she loves him more than her career..then she might as well retire. The desire to win and achieve needs to be there for the results to be in. At present, everything is lacking and if she doesn't decide to change her game up and train more then Vaidisova will be long forgotten.

A lot of people are blaming Radek for this. That might be one of the reasons, but whatever I rather think she just always wanted to have more time for herself and be a normal girl for awhile etc..
What annoys me is that Stepanek has got so much experience in tennis and everything, you'd think if he really cared about Nicole he would give her advice and support her to do better again. Isn't it weird how he goes to Brisbane and wins the title and doesnt seem fazed at all about Vaidisova's decline going to IMG parties smiling around :o

Wasn't she struggling with a recurring wrist injury all last year? Very hard thing for tennis players. Look how long it took Venus to recover from her wrist injury.

I could be wrong but I think Nicole probably has some serious self esteem issues. I can't for the life of me see what she says in Radek, I'm not just talking about his looks here either, his own oncourt behaviour is a disgrace and many fans say what a horror he has been to them when they have encounered him. He is also deeply unpopular amongst the ATP players so you wonder how this translates itself in his relationship with Nicole? If she does have self esteem/confidence issues and women who do, often pick men like Radek, this will manifest itself in her tennis. It's such a shame and I've often wondered what her parents must make of their relationship and her oncourt decline. I would cry bucketrs if my daughter was in a long term relationship with somebody like that.

It's very frustratin for me personally since my favoritest player, Tati, had to battle with injuries during her career and had to retire from tennis because of it and then we have Nicole, who is not even injured but just has no motivation to play.

Ugh, snap out of it, woman! :sobbing:
