What has happened to Yanina? :o

she switched coaches twice in the off-season, I think she's still adapting her game

her dad told me she made some changes in her game and it's hard to bring practice in a match for now ... She only practiced for 1,5 week with Carlos Rodriguez, her new coach, before leaving for Australia.

I hope she can turn this around quickly now!!
I'm dissapointed with this loss, adapting her game is one thing, but she should win these kind of matches. She should have won against Poutchek too last week!

Thanks :yeah: I didn't know any of this. The last time I actually saw her play was in birmingham, and I was so impressed. I thought she would be top 30 by now. I hope she can get her game together and cut out these bad loses soon

Great job for Alberta to win her first GS MD watch. Ivanovic will be too tough, but still a great job.

Yes, I was thinking, perhaps the only lap in the coaching was that they should have told her to just play her game and that on official level the primary goal is to win her matches for now. Untill she feels comforted enough to try to apply the "many" (Yanina told) new things she learned. Something like: "We have time enough, we'll practice it in training first and you can bring it into practice on official courts about 3 months too."
After 1,5 weeks is simply too soon.
Your results shouldn't (substantially) suffer from changing your game and learning new stuff. Ideally, she should have taken advantage of her kind draw (R1, at least) and gain some psychological experience on central court with the chance of taking 1 set off Ana (if she would have won from Alberta). Furthermore, take the 60 points, and money and run! (Woody Allen) ;) :)

Yanina is hopeless. I can't even call her Berdych Jr. anymore.
