The All England Lawn Tennis Club regret to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control, as of 5 December 2008. the Wimbledon LIVE service (operated by a third party, Mediazone) is no longer available.

Does that refer to just being able to watch 2008 matches or will it carry into 2009 tournament as well? It seems this annoucement was posted over a month ago so I apologize if it was posted here before but nothing came up in the search.

Wow. I hope it just means that we can no longer watch archived matches, but it kind of had the feel of "over." If so, that is very disappointing.

Yeah, I noticed that when I visited the site last December wanting to download some 2008 matches I hadn't had time to watch before.
My suspicion is that Mediazone might have gone out of business. Their website is no longer updated and most of the streaming services on it (Indycar, Moto, ChinaPortal) are no longer available (not just Wimbledon Live).

Hopefully the AELTC will make new arrangements with another company for 2009.
